RAVENS CHALLENGE® ASEAN 2018

Raven Group International, LLC would like to thank everyone who contributed to Ravens Challenge® ASEAN 2018 in making it a safe and successful event. This year saw the program extend to four weeks of training, and incorporate new training to expand the CBRN threat as well as improve the exploitation and forensics capability. Underwater Post Blast Investigation, EXU Lab training, Sensitive Sight Exploitation Training, Joint Task Force Headquarters Operations, and so many more. This was all accomplished before the opening day of the exercise. Well done to all who worked tirelessly under difficult conditions to make this a reality.

Finally, but most importantly, we thank all of the EOD techs and their families that sacrifice so much to attend the 2018 Ravens Challenge® in the midst of a very heavy workload. The EOD community is one that continually rises to the challenge, and the Thai EOD community has managed to rise up and maintain Ravens Challenge® as the largest single EOD event in the world.

American Military University Awards CEUs During Ravens Challenge® 2018

American Military University (AMU) presented three condensed courses from AMU’s Explosive Ordnance certificate program — Chemistry of Explosives, Electronics and Explosives and Weapons of Mass Destruction. There were 30 participants who participated in the class over 3 days. Participants included EOD techs from Thailand, Singapore, and Greece. After completion of the classes, participants were awarded 50 CEUs that are transferable to AMU’s Explosives Ordnance Disposal, Weapons of Mass Destruction, or Terrorism Studies programs. This includes their Undergraduate Certificate in Explosives Ordnance Disposal, Undergraduate Certificate in Terrorism Studies, and Undergraduate Certificate in Weapons of Mass Destruction Studies.
